“We’re Home!” is a depiction of the 1000 Islands Bridge done in watercolor. The bridge spans from mainland, over the St. Lawrence River to Wellesley Island, NY. So called, “River Rats” that live or have their summer homes on the island are known to either feel, say or yell this when they get on the bridge and feel sad when they go over it again to leave. It has deep meaning for Lisa’s family and she had no idea that others said the same thing they all did upon seeing the beautiful bridge.
